I recently took a jaunt to downtown Los Angeles to see the Create:Fixate “Branching Out” art show – an event exploring nature through art, with its main focus on trees. For those of you who are unfamiliar with them, Create:Fixate is an LA program that organizes art exhibits to showcase new local talent and gather together arts lovers. They also spend a good deal of their time discovering and encouraging the art of at-risk youth. In other words, they are a group of people who support the exact type of artist community love that we at TreeHouse dig seeing.

The “Branching Out” event was one night only and featured some pretty incredible works from emerging artists and designers, DJs and musicians, performance art, and live painting. All of the art was inspired by trees and the concept of the roles they play in our lives.

Take a look below for some shots of the artwork and action at the show. For more information about Create:Fixate and their upcoming events, you can visit them at http://createfixate.com/
